Students recognized for perfect attendance
OSMOND – The following Osmond Community School students have been recognized for perfect at- tendance during the first semester of the 2023-24 school year. A total of six students achieved perfect attendance for the semester: Kindergarten – Beau Bahr Second grade – Finley Brummels Fifth grade – Lane Brummels, Max Blunck Sixth grade – Alyvia Koehler, Ashlynn Riley In addition, 19 students achieved perfect attendance for the second quarter. In 1988, the American frigate USS Samuel B. Roberts struck an Iranian mine in international waters. The explosion severely damaged the boat and injured several Americans. Thankfully, no one was killed – but wisely, President Reagan didn’t wait for tragedy to occur before acting. Just four days later, the United States launched Operation Praying Mantis. OSMOND – Funeral services for Raelynn M. “Rae” Schuettler, 3 months old, of Osmond, were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 2024, at Saint Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Randolph with Father Kevin Vogel and Deacon Doug Tunink officiating the service. Family burial took place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Osmond with Rev. Scott Kirchoff officiat ing the graveside. Visitation was held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, with rosary starting at 7 p.m., also at the St. Frances Catholic Church in Randolph. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family for later designation. 02/07/2024 12:00 AM
