NORFOLK – Memorial services for Shari J. Steiner, 65, of Norfolk will be held on Monday, Aug. 10, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk. Private family inurnment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2026, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Stonacek Funeral Chapel. make memorial donations to Forever, Mia Foundation or to the family for later designation. Shari Jean was born on Feb. 27, 1961, in Norfolk to Leon and Mardelle (Sutton) Buckendahl. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Mardelle Buckendahl; her sister, Marcia Steckelberg; brothers, Larry Juul and Russel Buckendahl, and great-niece Mia Morfeld. She is survived by her children, Emilee Peterson, Eric Peterson and Walker Steiner (Brandi Sanderson); grandkids Chloe Sprieck, Danielle Harms and Evan Peterson; greatgrandchild Ollie Schmitz; siblings Mary (Norm) Jensen, Val (Dan) Morfeld and Scott (Tiffany) Buckendahl; sister-in-law Karen Margensey; brother-in-law Michael Steckelberg, and many nieces and nephews.
