Jordan Craig Moes passed away on his family farm with his beloved wife, Ashley.
Jordan was born on Sept. 1, 1989, to Brian and Jolene (Schulte) Moes in Norfolk, and was a fourth-generation farmer. He graduated from Osmond High School in 2008 and obtained a degree in agronomy at Northeast Community College. He managed the farming operation with his parents and his brother, Tyler. Jordan's exceptional knowledge of machinery, crops, livestock, and the land reflected a lifetime of hands on experience and a passion for research and learning.
Jordan was baptized, received his First Communion, and was confirmed at his family's parish, St. Mary of the Seven Dolors in Osmond. Jordan married his high school sweetheart, Ashley Moeller, on Aug. 10, 2013, in Wayne. Together they built a beautiful life on the Moes Family Farm and were devoted parents to their three young children, Megan, Jace, and Riley. Their children were their daily source of joy and purpose. Jordan was quiet by nature, but those who knew him well knew he had a quick sense of humor and a way of making people laugh when they least expected it. He loved the farm and especially enjoyed capturing everyday life there, often making videos of his cattle, crops, machinery, and whatever was happening around him. Those little glimpses of farm life reflected how much pride he took in the work he did and the life he had built.
Jordan was preceded in death by his infant brother, Jason; his grandfather, Wayne Moes; his grandparents, George and Mary Phyllis Schulte, and his uncle, Ken Schulte.
He is survived by his children; his parents, Brian and Jolene (Schulte) Moes; his siblings, Marie (Tony) Olinger of Owatonna, MN, and their children Reid, Evy, and Layne; Chad (Katie) Moes of Omaha, and their children Harper, Lila, and Asher; Tyler (Carissa) Moes of Wausa, and their children Nixon, Lawson, Thea, and Renna; and his grandmother, LaVon Moes of Osmond. He is also survived by his father and mother-in-law, Cory and Julie (Zimmerer) Moeller of Yankton, SD; his brother-in-law, Curtis (Mykah) Moeller of Niobrara and their children Bodee, Linnie, and Josie; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
