Roger passed away at his home on May 23, 2025. Snider Memorial Funeral Home of Plainview will be handling the arrangements. Condolences may be directed to the family at www.snidermemorial.com Roger Eugene Gray, son of Jesse Gray and Evelyn (Hoffart) Gray Schneckloth, was born Aug. 10, 1952, at St. Joseph Hospital (now Osmond General Hospital) in Osmond. As a youth, he attended country school and the Lutheran school and high school in Osmond, graduating in 1970. After graduating he went to the Army at Fort Sill Oklahoma in the Artillery Battalion. After his service in the Army, he worked for Yogi Carlson in Wausa as a welder and then at Big John Mfg. in Osmond, also as a welder. He started farming with stepfather Irv Schneckloth until he retired. He married Diane Dooley on June 12, 1982, at United Methodist Church in Bloomfield.
Two children were born to this union, Regena and Sarah. He enjoyed going to sales and collecting. He retired in 2020 from farming. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Osmond American Legion Post 326.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Gray of Osmond; daughters Regena and Sarah of Osmond; brother, Franklin Gray of Pierce; stepbrothers Denis (Trudy) Schneckloth of Lincoln and Gary (Glorianna) Schneckloth of Parker, CO; in-laws Sharon and Jim Wisdom of Salina, KS, Chris Dooley and Julie Maaske of Lincoln, Ted and Kim Dooley of Lincoln, and Dan Dooley of Cape Girardeau, MO, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess Gray and Evelyn Gray Schneckloth; sister-in-law, Martha Gray, and in-laws Robert and Darlene Dooley.
