WAUSA – The LifeServe Blood Center held a community blood drive on April 16 at Wausa High School.
Twenty donors registered and contributed 23 units of life-saving blood. The units donated at the blood drive can help save up to 69 lives.
The following donors who hit milestones with their most recent contributions also were celebrated: Jeff Friedrich, nine gallons;Vickie Clausen, four gallons; Rebecca Jones, two gallons; and Kyle Korth, two gallons.
Wausa teacher Mariah Totten and students at Wausa High School helped to coordinate and host the blood drive.
People are encouraged to sign up for LifeServe’s next blood drive in Wausa, scheduled for 2-6 p.m., July 2, at the Wausa Fire Hall.
