“Dirty Thirty” is a Stephanie Plum novel by Janet Evanovich. Martin Rabner, the local jeweler, wants Plum to find his former security guard, Andy Manley. Rabner is convinced that the guard has stolen a fortune in diamonds. Plum is also looking for a fugitive from justice, Duncan Dugan, who robbed a jewelry store. When bodies are found and witnesses disappear, Plum may need to play dirty to solve the crimes. This book is in large print.

“Red Warning” is by Matthew Quirk. Central Intelligence Agency officer Sam Hudson has hunted Konstantin, a Russian deep-cover operative responsible for a series of assassinations in the West, for years. An ambushed meeting leaves Hudson’s partner dead. Hudson receives a mysterious call at the Lincoln Memorial just before a bomb goes off. Fellow CIA officer Emily Pierce helps Hudson to uncover a plot that could bring America to its knees. Part of the plot involves the most iconic buildings in the U.S. capital. “Crosshairs” is by James Patterson and James O. Born. A sniper whose fearsome precision is amazing is taking out targets in New York City. Detective Michael Bennett teams up with Officer Rob Trilling, a former Army Ranger and sniper with the New York Police Department’s Emergency Services Unit. Bennett soon learns that Trilling is not comfortable interacting with people. Then Trilling misses duty assignments and his absences are unexplained. Bennett wonders whose side Trilling is really on.
