Wayne resident wants people to learn about wind farms

Dear Editor, I once was interested in investing in wind turbines. Since then, I’ve done some research, read some books, have been a talk show guest speaker for different radio stations and have made presentations in five states.

Vanguard, BlackRock and State Street are the three top investors in NextEra (Energy). According to the book “Capitalist Punishment,” together they are worth over $20 trillion, each own about 30 percent of each other’s stock and therefore can operate as one large unit.

They are heavily invested in China. China has cheaper power because of coal, cheaper labor and less regulations. Wind turbine components are made in China.

Farmers sign leases that most likely will exceed their lifespan, lose possession of their land for wind purposes, but still retain the obligation to pay their property taxes.

Meanwhile, the wind companies get paid by you taxpayers through our government in the name of climate change, with tax-free subsidies called tax credits.

This subsidized power creates unfair competition for our dependable power plants, either by raising their costs or forcing them out of business.

We consumers are left with an unstable grid or blackouts, and of course a much higher price for power. It follows then, that the undependable subsidized power looks relatively better, so we are convinced to build more.

Do you believe you are informed about the wind industry, to the extent that you understand its business model and the implications thereof, to at this time be making realistic regulations concerning that business?

Folks, this is a scam. Any informed person with an average degree of normal native intelligence will recognize it.

If this country survives our poor decision making and looming debt crisis, this so-called renewable energy thing will be known as the biggest scam in American economic history.

Doug Nelson, Wayne
