WAUSA – Pool days soon will wave hello in Wausa. The opening day for the Wausa Municipal Swimming Pool’s 2024 season has been scheduled for May 25, in time for the three-day Memorial Day weekend.
The regular open hours for the facility have been set for 1-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday-Friday – it will be closed 5-6 p.m. for a supper break – and 1-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Adult-only swimming will be held daily from 12:30-1 p.m. before the swimming pool opens, as well as from 5-5:45 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Group swimming lessons have been scheduled for June 10-14 each morning, thanks again to a grant from the Wausa Community Foundation Fund. All Wausa children again will receive free group swimming lessons.
Private swimming lessons also will be available in June and July. People are encouraged to call the swimming pool at 402-586-2323 starting on May 25 for more information, including admission prices for the season, and to follow the facility on Facebook for updates.
