Local library features mysteries and thrillers to check out

Regular Lied Lincoln Library Township hours are Monday-Thursday, 1:30-5:30 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

“The Good Sister” is by Sally Hepworth. Fern Castle works in her local library. She has dinner with her twin sister, Rose, three nights a week. Fern avoids crowds, bright lights and loud noises as much as possible. Rose is unable to have a baby so Fern decides to have a baby for her. Fern doesn’t tell Rose her plan. The city police do not want to investigate, but Barney’s mother, Shifty, asks Mick to investigate. Shifty greets visitors with a pistol on her lap. Mick feels obligated to help out.
