LINCOLN – Gov. Jim Pillen is accepting applications for director of the Nebraska State Historical Society.
This year, the Nebraska Legislature approved – and the governor signed – LB1169, making the Historical Society a code agency.
As with other code agencies, the director is appointed by the governor and subject to legislative approval.
Applications may be submitted through the governor’s website at governor.nebraska.gov/boardcomm- req.
Submissions also may be sent in writing to the: Office of the Governor, P.O. Box 94848, Lincoln, NE 68509.
The deadline to apply is the close of business July 3.
