BLOOMFIELD – The Piecemakers Quilt Club met June 14 at the Good Samaritan Society’s Sunset View Assisted Living Facility, Bloomfield.

Carolyn Hall hosted, with appetizers and a delicious rhubarb cake served after the meeting. Those attending in addition to Carolyn were Lois Tangeman, Virginia Lindquist, Barb Gillilan, Bonnie Suhr, Carmella Kinkaid and Garnet Anderson. Also, Bonnie’s daughter, Cindy, was there.

In old business, Lois has finished another charity quilt. Garnet will deliver it.

The raffle quilt is done except for a label. Garnet volunteered to finish that.

A pattern for next year’s quilt was decided on; the name of it is Peppermint Pines. Cindy is going to get the material from Mother Daughter Quilting Designs in Julesburg, Colo.

Club members are to bring any Christmas material, reds and greens to the next meeting.

For show-and-tell, Barb brought her quilt-as-you-go. Garnet brought a Christmas wall hanging and a threeyard quilt for a granddaughter.

In new business, club members decided to change the meeting date to the third Thursday of each month due to other activities during the second week of each month.

The club’s next meeting will be on July 18 at the Sunset View assisted living facility in Bloomfield. After the meeting, everyone will go to The Cafe – Wausa for a meal.
