CENTER — Wausa area residents are encouraged to attend a Knox County Planning Commission regular meeting on April 9.
The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. inside the board of supervisors’ room at the county courthouse in Center. The meeting is open to the public. All interested parties are welcome to attend.
Commission members held a public hearing March 12 to receive public comments on amendments proposed by National Grid Renewables to county zoning regulations regarding wind energy conservation system setbacks, including for wetlands.
After hearing from representatives of National Grid Renewables and members of the public, commission members tabled the proposed amendments until their next meeting to gather more information regarding the wetland setbacks.
The commission’s meeting agenda is kept continuously current and is available to the public by request by contacting County Zoning Administrator Kelsy Jelinek at 402-288-5618, zoning@knoxcountyne. org or P.O. Box 165, Center, NE 68724.
