CENTER – The Knox County Sheriff’s Office hosted Nebraska Intergovernmental Risk Management Association training April 2-3.
Todd Duncan, a law enforcement and safety specialist with NIRMA, and County Sheriff Don Henery conducted four two-hour seminars of “active shooter” training for 33 county employees and two county supervisors.
The training was held at the county courthouse in Center and was designed to both educate and promote proactive thinking about how to react and handle situations that the employees might find themselves in, not only at their workplaces, but also in their personal lives. The seminars were sponsored by NIRMA, the risk management carrier for the county.
The sheriff’s office thanked NIRMA and Duncan for providing both the time and knowledge that were shared with county employees.
