Osmond Republican: I feel the need to make some comments about the attendance Sunday for the fundraiser for the park. First off, we have a beautiful park to have many activities at thanks to our park board and city employees. Marv Kumm, the chairman, puts in countless hours cleaning and maintaining the flowers. He is not the only one, but the one I have seen the most. Marv saw the need to improve the areas around the swing sets and did a lot of research to accomplish improving those areas and came up with the idea to bring in a very talented musical talent that also has ties to Osmond. Tanner Sovereign entertained for over two hours. Marv contacted my wife and I to provide food, which I immediately said we would provide at our cost to be able to raise more funds. Ask anyone who attended, it was a great time. At this time, I’m appealing to parents, grandparents or anyone who has enjoyed our park to come forward with donations to Security Bank to achieve this goal. I wasn’t raised here, but I am Osmond proud. Please be generous to help our park for future kids and families to use with pride. Bob Stange 10/02/2024 12:00 AM
