Firefighters answer the call on windy Friday
Thursday, October 17, was a crazy one for Osmond firefighters who answered not one, not two, but three fire calls. The high winds and dry conditions brought a Red Flag Warning for the area, which meant that warm temperatures, very low humidity and strong winds could produce an increased risk of fire danger. And unfortunately, that’s what happened.

LINCOLN – More than 4,000 students representing 43 schools across Greater Nebraska have overwhelmingly indicated their penchant for small communities according to five years of cumulative data released by Nebraska Community Foundation (NCF) and the Center for Public Affairs Research (CPAR) at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
