ARLINGTON, Texas – Former Northeast Community College baseball student-athlete Zane Zielinski was selected by the San Francisco Giants in the ninth round of the MLB Draft with the No. 268 overall pick Monday. The 2023 Ole Open golf tournament champions are Austin Backer, Quin Windeshausen, Sean Gansebom and Jordan Backer. The 2024 competition is scheduled for July 27 at Rolling Hills Country Club west of Wausa, with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. The tournament has a best-ball format with four-person teams. There will be flag prizes and a Swedish Swing Putting Competition. If water is not available, the plant will slow or stop growing and go dormant. Then, when water becomes available, growth resumes.
