February Fog
Fog has been seen in northeast Nebraska off and on since Jan. 23, according to the National Weather Service in Omaha. Lead meteorologist Becky Kern explained a combination of cold ground containing lots of moisture, a warmer-than-normal air mass overhead and little to no wind allowed fog to settle across the region for several days recently. However, Kern noted, fog is fading from the forecast as winds are expected to pick up this week and bring possible light rain showers, and then slight chances of snow this weekend.
