WSC radio station is participating in “Vinylthon” April 20-21
WAYNE – The Wayne State College student-run radio station, KWSC-FM 91.9 The Cat, will spin strictly vinyl throughout the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, April 20-21, along with more than 200 radio stations worldwide. The goal is 48 continuous hours of vinyl recordings.

Pre-contest recital to be held next Tuesday
OSMOND – The Osmond Community School music department will hold the pre-contest recital on Tuesday, April 16, beginning at 7 p.m. in preparation for the District Music Contest, which will be held on Friday, April 19, in Osmond. A number of individual and group vocal and instrumental performances will be given.

Real estate, personal taxes due April 30th
2023 real estate taxes and personal property taxes must be paid on or before April 30. The taxes become delinquent at that time and are subject to a 14% interest rate charged on delinquent taxes according to state statute.

Early morning fire destroys downtown Pierce building

Locust Street (Highway 13) in downtown Pierce was completely destroyed by a fire that began around midnight Monday evening, April 1. The emergency call went out at 11:39 p.m. Monday, for a fire in the alley garage of the Expressions Floral flower shop.

School board discusses basketball survey results
