Nebraska chicken, egg numbers reported
LINCOLN - All layers in Ne - braska during April 2024 totaled 8.40 million, up from 7.46 million the previous year, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Sta - tistics Service. Nebraska egg production during April totaled 203 million eggs, up from 181 million in 2023. April egg production per 100 layers was 2,414 eggs, compared to 2,426 eggs in 2023.
