Early voter ballot applications available
PIERCE - With the 2024 primary election coming up soon, Pierce County voters have the option to request early voter's ballots if they will not be able to vote in person on the date of the primary. The county office has application forms available to have early ballots mailed out.

Auxiliary members hear district convention report
OSMOND – American Legion Auxiliary Unit 326 met Monday, March 18, at the Legion hall with nine members in attendance. The opening prayer was given by Chaplain Holly Koehler, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance, Preamble and the singing of the “National Anthem.” New members Linda Krohn and Sonja Kirchoff were welcomed to the group.

PIERCE – The 2024 Pierce County Republican Party convention was held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, at the Lied Pierce Public Library. A prayer was led by member Nathan Codr, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance recited by all.

Pierce County Communities for Kids holds provider gallery walk
In the spring of 2023, the communities of Pierce County were selected to be part of Nebraska Children and Families Foundation Communities for Kids, a state-wide initiative which supports young children, families and those providing their care. The Communities for Kids initiative is a multi-year planning and implementation initiative that was created in response to community requests for assistance with shortages of high-quality early childhood care and education programs. These shortages impact children’s optimal development and pose a challenge for communities hoping to attract and retain the viable workforce they need to thrive.
