Janovy named to Fair Hall Of Fame
PIERCE – Leon Janovy of Pierce has been inducted into the Pierce County Fair Hall of Fame. The announcement and plaque presentation were made during this year’s fair awards ceremony held Friday evening at the Fairgrounds Pavilion.

Bloodmobile to be here next Tuesday
OSMOND – It’s not too late to be a part of something big this summer. TheAmerican Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Osmond on Tuesday, Aug. 6, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the city auditorium. Patients are counting on blood and platelet donors to ensure lifesaving care is ready as soon as it’s needed.

Northeast Power lineman wins rodeo event
Northeast Power competed in the Nebraska Lineworkers Rodeo July 18-19 at the Custer County Fairgrounds in Broken Bow. One of its employees, Nate Pospisil of Wayne, competed in a mutual aid contest with NPPD lineman Chad Sedlacek, and the two won the contest.
