LINCOLN – The first reported human West Nile virus detection for the 2024 season has been found in the Douglas County Health District through the routine screening of blood donations. PIERCE - Plans have been made for the 2024 Pierce County Fair, which will be held July 24 through July 28. River City Carnival will be returning this year with rides, food, games and ride armbands available. The fair board always tries to bring back events that county residents enjoy, with new events included as well.
