HARTINGTON – The Osmond FFA Chapter recently participated in the District FFA Dairy Evaluation Contest, showcasing their knowledge and skills in dairy cattle evaluation and management. The competition, held at the Cedar County Fairgrounds in Hartington, brought together more than 300 FFA members from 16 area schools to test their expertise in the field of dairy cattle management. 10/23/2024 12:00 AM

FIRST AT YANKTON - The Osmond Marching Tigers finished in first place in Class D at the March to the Meridian parade at Yankton on Saturday, October 12. Band director Christalin Ginn praised the students, saying, "What an incredible achievement for our talented group! A huge thank you to our amazing seniors for leading the way and guiding us through a season where we placed in every parade we participated in. Your dedication and passion have truly inspired us all! We also want to express our heartfelt gratitude to the parents, bus drivers, and students who played a vital role in making this marching season not just successful but unforgettable. Your support, hard work, and teamwork made all the difference! Let's keep celebrating our accomplishments together as we look forward to more musical adventures ahead!" The Marching Tigers also placed first in Class D at the Columbus Marching Festival on September 28, and placed third in Class D in the Harvest of Harmony parade in Grand Island on October 5. 10/16/2024 12:00 AM

The Osmond High School junior class auction was held Thursday, Oct. 10, after the Osmond-Plainview volleyball game. The class raised a total of $4,675, which will go toward prom expenses. Because auctioneer Joe Aschoff was unable to be there, principal Kurt Polt served as auctioneer.
