Trunk or Treat
Immanuel Lutheran Church hosted a Trunk-or-Treat event in their west parking lot on Sunday, October 27. Many little ghosts and goblins, as well as princesses, athletes, soldiers, superheroes and even a dog dressed as a hot dog were on hand for treats and games. Wagner to perform in 2024 All-State chorus
LINCOLN – Erin Wagner, a senior at Osmond High School and the daughter of Chris and Robin Wagner, will be among the 440 students selected to be a part of the 2024 All-State Chorus. Erin also participated at All-State in 2022 and 2023.

Immanuel to host drive-through Windsor loin dinner on Saturday
OSMOND – Immanuel Lutheran Church will host its annual Windsor loin dinner on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. The drive-through meal will feature Windsor loin, scalloped potatoes, green beans and choice of layered desserts.

School blood drive is November 6
OSMOND – The Osmond High School anatomy class will host its annual fall blood drive on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Coordinated by the American Red Cross, blood will be drawn in the OHS gym. The goal for the blood drive is 36 units.

PLAINVIEW – Services for Jack C. Hoffman, 89, of Plainview will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church with burial at St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ashburn Funeral Home in Plainview.

Resident veterans may get free Veterans Day hunt permit
Nebraska residents who are honorably discharged veterans may receive a one-day permit, Habitat Stamp, and Nebraska Migratory Waterfowl Stamp for free to hunt on Veterans Day.
