OSMOND – Osmond Public Library sponsored a fun Slip ’n’ Slide evening at Poolside Park on Thursday, July 11. Both inflatable slip ’n’ slides were popular places for the kids.

City council discusses helipad, properties, street projects
OSMOND – The Osmond City Council met Monday, July 8, in the city conference room. Council members had a number of items on the agenda, including those on the helipad, a housing project, vacant properties and street projects, to name a few.

Citywide rummage sales set for Saturday
OSMOND –Anumber of locations are scheduled for this weekend’s rummage sales, with 10 of them starting on Friday, July 19, and the rest beginning Saturday morning, July 20.

Donkey polo new at Pierce County fair
PIERCE – The 2024 Pierce County Fair will be held Wednesday, July 24, through Sunday, July 28. River City Carnival will be returning this year with rides, food, games and ride armbands available. The Pierce County Fair Board is bringing back the events that residents enjoy, with new events as well.

Biosecurity measures help protect livestock during fairs, shows, rodeos
LINCOLN – County fairs, livestock competitions, and rodeos, let people see, experience, and celebrate agriculture on a different level. Since many agricultural events take place during the summer, now is the perfect time for the Nebraska Department of Agriculture (NDA) to remind livestock owners to protect their animals and to keep them healthy, especially livestock participating in shows and competitions.
