Kumm is grand champion in air rifle competition
Nickolas Kumm, who will be a freshman this fall at Osmond High School, competed in the junior division shotgun and .22 rifle competition at the Knox County fair on Saturday, Aug. 3. He earned a red ribbon in shotgun competi- tion and a red ribbon on his .22 rifle shooting, using only iron sights in that competition.

Osmond High School hosts Epic football camp
On Thursday, July 11, the Wausa-Osmond football team hosted an Epic Team Camp in Osmond. Teams participating in the camp included: Wausa-Osmond, EPPJ, GACC, Homer, Mead, North Central, Niobrara/Verdigre, Osceola, Pender, Stanton, Summerland, TCNE, and West Holt.

Students named to quarter, semester honor rolls
OSMOND – The fourth quarter and second semester honor rolls for the 2023-24 school term at Osmond Community School has been an- nounced by school officials. In order to be listed on the superior honor roll, a student must have grades of 93 or higher. Honor roll requirement is that a student must have a 90 average with no grade below 85.

Health alert issued for Iron Horse Trail Lake, Maskenthine Reservoir
LINCOLN – The state of Nebraska has issued a health alert for Harmful Algal Blooms (HAB), also known as toxic blue-green algae, at Iron Horse Trail Lake in Pawnee County and Maskenthine Reservoir in Stanton County.
