Legislature approves budget adjustments
Last week, the Legislature gave final round approval to the two mid-biennium budget adjustment bills: LB1412 and LB1413. The two bills will increase the state budget by 2.7 percent in this two-year period which is up from the 2.3 percent approved last year.

Auxiliary members hear district convention report
OSMOND – American Legion Auxiliary Unit 326 met Monday, March 18, at the Legion hall with nine members in attendance. The opening prayer was given by Chaplain Holly Koehler, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance, Preamble and the singing of the “National Anthem.” New members Linda Krohn and Sonja Kirchoff were welcomed to the group.

PIERCE – The 2024 Pierce County Republican Party convention was held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, at the Lied Pierce Public Library. A prayer was led by member Nathan Codr, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance recited by all.
