OSMOND – The annual Osmond FFA Awards Banquet was held on Friday, April 26, despite a slight delay because of the dangerous weather conditions earlier in the evening. More than 40 FFA members, parents, and guests gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of the chapter and its members.

LINCOLN, Neb. June 3, 2024 - For the week ending June 2, 2024, there were 4.3 days suitable for fieldwork, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. Topsoil moisture supplies rated 3% very short, 11% short, 74% adequate, and 12% surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 4% very short, 17% short, 70% adequate, and 9% surplus.

DHHS spreading awareness for tickborne disease
LINCOLN – The Department of Health and Human Services recognizes May as Lyme Disease Awareness Month. As the spring and summer months are the primary tick season in Nebraska, DHHS urges all residents to be mindful of ticks and to share information with their community on how to stay safe. Common tickborne diseases include Lyme disease, Ehrlichiosis, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Alpha-Gal Syndrome, and Tularemia.
